    Bought me a new bow!!!

Well I broke down and bought another bow for myself. It's a James Parker BBB R/D. She is sweet. No glass at all bamboo backed bamboo (BBB)

    Draws super smooth too!

My bow is the top one shown in the picture.

Glenn Bryant will be shooting a bamboo backed osage bow that he just got through building at Waco tomorrow. It is really nice and shoots well for him. He just finished it on Tuesday of this week.

I love em but for some reason they created controversy for me. I happen to have several and may let a lower poundage one go to the right person..

                        Terry,

What controversy? I bought it cause I love that they are natural and feel good in the hand. Not for anyone else. I don't care if someone says well it's not a selfbow - if you look back in history most of the English archers had composite bows as Yew was very scarce and some countries that had good sources put such high levies on it when exported. Spanish Yew was the only other source and it was by far a better material than English Yew. Almost all mid-eastern bows were composite as well!

And you can go back even farther (3800-4000 years ago) to find composite bows made of wood, horn and sinew.
Congrats on your beautiful new bow, Doug!
