    Whoops

I just sent a field-tipped arrow though a piece of 1/4 inch plywood, between the slats on a privacy fence, into the street and into my neighbor's yard!!!!!!!
A kid apparently heard the arrow hit the pavement and he walked over and picked the arrow up and walked off.
He wasn't in the yard where the arrow landed, but he was at a 90 deg angle to me while I was shooting.
I missed my 3-d deer and the black hole target I had behind it to catch misses.
Thank God no-one and no pet or vehicle or anything else was hurt.

Don't think you are the only one that has happened to. My good friend Jody put an arrow through his wood fence and into the neighbors garage. Like you luckily....no real damage.

When I lived in Katy, I built a support using 3 cedar fence posts (like a horse rail) and draped a piece of commercial carpet over it, providing a backstop for arrows. I was shooting about 60lbs at the time and never had one go thru the carpet.

That was a scary thought. Glad no one was harmed.

Hey brute, look up steertalker. He's got an AWEsome target/backdrop. You miss that and you've got problems.

I agree with Mark. A lot of folks let one fly at least once. I did, luckily, mine when it ricocheted it went straight up and straight back down landing 3 feet across my fence. Left a REAL sick feeling in my stomach when I lost site of that arrow.
