Another Massie Under The Sanding Block

The M turned out nice so I put the block to a 59 lb Longhorn.
The poly had darkened some and you really couldn't tell it, but after cleaning it up she really came to life.
Even uncovered a previously unseen black lam that appears to be carbon.

Man, you got me on the limbwood without seeing the grain in person. The way it has the bands running horizontal across the limbs has me stumped. Ther are a number of woods that come to mind. African bloodwood (not Brazilian AKA Satine) paduk, edge grain cocbolo or possibly a really neat piece of dark bubinga.. Would love to see it sometime though.

Oh by the way.. I can tell you that the riser is 100% Mexican Cocobolo though.

jeff made a fine bow, we shot ours for 5+ years, and still shoot them time to time.
