    I'd suggest you find a local 3-D shoot and go talk with trad shooters. Most of the time they are very willing to give you some pointers, help you get started and even let you shoot their bows. That way, you can decide what's best for you. Don't be shy. Besides, once you get "hooked" on trad, it only becomes more fun and much more expensive.

    When you get ready to buy something, ask here first if someone has a starter bow for sale. If not you can go to several sites for classifieds; Tradgang.com, Stickbow.com for starters.

      Forgot to mention...Go talk with Bob Sarrells near Austin. Bob can hook you up on a new bow, whether recurve or longbow. You willl not go wrong with a Sarrells.
