I want to get into trad shooting but I only have about $150 to spend. Would it be better to buy a cheaper bow or buy a good used bow? I don't know anything about traditional shooting so bare with me!! Thanks, Sam

I'm not sure there is a "right" answer to that one, Sam. You want to start out with a light weight bow until you get your trad form down. You are young and strong, so this won't take very long. Since money is such an issue for a person your age, you might consider getting an excercise thingy from 3 Rivers (can't remember what they are called, they have a handle and bands of different weights) and hold on to your money until you are ready to invest in a good bow that will last years. I'd take a good used bow over a cheap bow any day, but it won't be long before you are ready to go up in weight.Last edited by Deb; 05-01-2011, 12:46 PM.

Don't skimp on arrows. Make sure they are quality shafts and talk with the arrow gurus on here about weight, spine, point weight and so forth. You have a good bow and string, we can offer a lot of help regarding form, but if you slop your arrow selection it will slow everthing down big time and waste a lot of money.Last edited by Deb; 05-03-2011, 09:30 AM.
