First 3D Shoot

Well, I did it. I met up with James (Samiel2d) for lunch then we headed to the Tyler Archery Club. It was just like Deb described - we bought our score cards and warmed up a bit. Everyone was assigned to start at different targets and they told us to start on target 15. We were the only shooters with trad gear. They made a couple of announcements and told us to head for our first target. They sounded a horn and we started shooting. Targets 1 through 10 were known distances (25 yards max) and 11 through 20 were unknown distances. I missed a few targets and scored lots of 5s (target hit but not in the scoring rings. I did get a few 8s and 10s and one 12. I didn’t lose any arrows! I ended up with an embarrassing 100. But you know what? I bet I do a little better the next time!

im not sure about a confidence builder but it sure as heck was a lot of fun. the number of people that showed up shocked me, compared to the indoor league.
