I would way rather hunt with someone who was a stone cold killer with a compound or a gun than someone who is most likely going to wound something with their Longbow

I made the same choice this year the only place I had to hunt was in the neighborhood.
I couldnt take the chance knowing that I would not be able to put the time in behind my longbow had a blast killing stuff but miss the longbow.

It should be an easy transition, back to compound ... especially since the Mathews will shoot about the same speed as your trad bow!

Just kidding! A old man once asked me if I ever played baseball when I was young. After I told him yes, he followed with, "Well, then stop thinking so much and just throw the baseball."

He was talking about the arrow. I was trying to shoot my longbow like a compound. Keep shooting it and relax and shoot at 25 yards when you practice. Then when you shoot at that red bull can at 15 you will hit it. Keep after it!
