First of all hello and Merry Christmas! I haven't been around since mid summer...it has been a hectic year with the kids and a bum shoulder has kept me from shooting my "fun" bow very much. Right before I injured the shoulder I was TRYING to get an arrow to tune out of my Bonner bow. Specs are 53# @ 28" (my draw length) and it is cut past center (can't remember exactly how much). Anyway, I know for a fact my GT 35/55's were showing weak spine so I am thinking I need a .400 spine arrow with the 225-250 gr. I like up front.
I have ONE CE Heritage 250 and ONE Beaman MFX Classic 400. Kind of hard to tune with only one of each! I was wondering if anyone on here wanted to do some trading/selling. I am looking for any combo of two Gold Tip 55/75's, one CE Heritage 250, and a Beaman MFX Classic 400....kind of make my own test kit! I don't know what all I have to trade. I do have some assorted broadheads and 18 Gold Tip 35/55's Trad shafts we could talk about.
This bow has been a bear to tune. The ONLY shaft I have found so far it likes are the AD Trads with 300 gr. up front but those suckers are expensive. My other option is to try wood arrows since I have always wanted to tinker with that. Maybe someone could put together a cedar test kit to trade/sell?
I guess the moral is I "need" another Sarrels...never had an issue finding an arrow to fly out of them!
Thanks and I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
