Chances are, you wont want to use anything else after a couple months of practice

Don't have any pictures of my first kill. Didn't even own a camera back in 1957. First kill was a rabbit and my second kill was a coyote trying to get into our chicken house with a 30# Shakespeare recurve which I still have and Bear Razorheads. My son learned to shoot with it but my grand kids aren't all that interested. I didn't start taking pictures until late 70s and still didn't take pictures of all my kills. I didn't really start carrying a camera full time until the late 90s. Pictures just didn't seem all that important to me back then.

Wesley "Peanut",
Those were the days Carl Newsom, his son, and I hunted bow hunted at North Concho Lake every season. We would hunt from October through December with bows and arrows. We had some pretty successful seasons. I wish it were still possible to hunt out there like we use to. Since the State took it over there are thousands of acres where bow hunting is no longer allowed and there are so many good deer out there. I have never understood why they don't open all the area to archery hunting. Same thing with lots of areas around Twin Buttes.
