Anyone see Dan Toelke's new 3 pcs. longbow?

I saw a few pictures of Dan's new 3 pcs. longbow the other day. It looks sweet. I asked him a couple years ago about making one but he said he couldn't at this time. Here is the link to his website. http://montanabows.com/cms/ Just look in his inventory and look at the whip section and you should be able to find it.

Yeah, I got the email from him a few days ago with pics. Looks really nice to me. I would like to have one but the next one in line on my list is the chinook. After that then I may look at getting one. It's an addiction I tell you!

I don't know now if a new custom recurve is in the works for me this next year now, as one of my jobs has been eliminated.

But I have looked at White Wolf Custom Bows http://www.whitewolfbows.com/

You're just rubbin' it in now aren't you? Kidding of course. Do you happen to know Andy Duffy? I know he lives in Montana now and shoots traditional archery quite a bit(well I might add). I know him from shooting sporting clays and I run in to him every now and then at different shoots here in Texas.

                Take care

If Andy lives in the Kalispell area, I may know him. I'm bad at putting names with faces, but if I have met him, and see his face then I could know for sure. I'm gonna be great when "Old Timers" sets in.... LOL

That probably is him. He's probably in his mid to late 40's. I may be wrong but I think he won the Montana state shoot a few years ago. Don't remember if it was with a recurve or longbow though.

Heck, I'm in my early 40's and "old timers" has already got a hold of me!

I know Andy. He's friends with my buddy F. H. Becker, who taught Andy to shoot traditional bow. Andy coached F.H. in sporting clay shooting. F.H. has won many tournaments since.

                        Moe,

Funny you mention that. I too am friends with F.H. He and Andy are the ones who turned me on to the Toelke bows. F.H. let me borrow a chinook and a whip and I shot them both for a good while til I decided which one I wanted. I met F.H. from shooting sporting clays. I see him quite often at Capitol City Trap and Skeet. I have shot with Andy several times in the past. I have been shooting competitive sporting clays for about 10 years now. I hear Andy is pretty handy with a bow. If he is anywhere as good with one as he is a shotgun then he is plenty good.

Maybe some time I will get the pleasure of meeting you.

                        Take care

I just sent Dan Toelke a whole pile of wood the other day and we talked about his new bow design. It loks to be as nice as all the other beauties he makes.

I am lucky enough to own two Toelke bows .....A longbow & a recurve. Merely by looking at the bow, I can pretty well tell how it will shoot. It would be even better if I could see it both strung & unstrung, but I can tell. The grip is his signature modified Fedora style. None of his bows have much handshock & are usually very fast. With the heavier TD riser I should think it will be close to dead in the hand. Dan would not put out a bow that he didn't totally love. It must be a real doozy.
