I had not shot my bow in a while, so this morning Doug {Ol'Man} and i got out for some practice. i mentioned that I wanted him to make me a new string and as he measured my bow for the new string, he went in and got one of his new 6-strand strings that he had made that would be close. We hooked it up and I could instantly see an improvement in my arrow flight at 27 yards. The arrow shot about 8-10 inches higher than I had just shot earlier. We broke out the chrono as i wanted to see how many FPS I was shooting. I am getting 185 FPS out of a 525 grain set up at 47 pounds {my field tip is 200 grain}. If I recall correctly, my bow had last chrono'd at 169 FPS at Buffalo Field's range, so i was impressed. This new string should help me with the longer shots as my bow never liked to shoot over 20 yards as it seemed to really fall off. Thanks Doug for the new string !!!
