    Ran out of arrows

Well tried to get up early this morning and get my dog a track but got a late start. By the time I was pulling in I saw a group of about 12 pigs in the road going to my property. When I pulled onto my property it was about to be daylight. I could see good enough to see my block target about 30 yards away from my truck door. I reach in the truck pull out the Bobcatt and put the glove on. I grab one of the three arrows I have pull back and hit a beer bottle top in the middle of the target. I feel good so I grab the two arrows I have left and go get on the stand.

Walking in I bounce out 2 deer that were arround the feeder eating allready. Dang Im running very late the feeder has allready thrown. I sit in the stand for a few minutes and a covey of quail come in and put on a show for about 15 minutes. Then I hear the pigs coming and the quil leave. I have 2 sows and about 15 shoats come in and start feeding. I pick out a shoat that is out a little ways and pull back and the arrow is on its way. Right where I was looking quartered to me shot right in front of the shoulder. One of the sow spooks and she drags about 8 with her. The remainng sow and shoats keep working around. She steps into my lane hard quartered away and I aim for the back of the ribs and my last arrow is on it way. Another good hit. I settle in and going to wait for about 15 minutes. I close my eyes and start replaying the shots and I hear crunching. Its a group of three different hogs one of them being a boar about 150#. Out of arrows I just watch until they are done feeding and leave.
I get the dog out to work and he finds the shoat about 60 yards away easy blood trail. I couldnt find any blood at all on the sow and I drop the dog the way she ran. about 5 minutes later I hear him about 120 yards away as the crow flys in the middele of a cedar thicket. She didn't drop any blood as my feathers were in the entrance hole and the tip of the broadhead was sticking out about 1/2 way in front of her shoulder. At least I know my arrows are getting 30 inches of penetration. Cant wait to hit the woods again.

Way to go Glen! Every since I started trad hunting, I have hunted hard to take a hog with my bow but no luck yet. I won't give up though. It is too much fun.
