This is just like asking about differences in bows. It always comes down to "What is comfortable for you". As long as "you" are comfortable with it, you will be just fine.

That's what I figured, thought it wouldn't hurt to ask just in case.

      Thanks for the help guys!

Yep as long as you are comfortable with it, and can do it consistently that all that should matter.

Me personally I have tried both and I shoot 3 under better. But since I have not picked up my bow in months I could go either way again.

I'm more comfortable and accurate with split finger than I am with three under.

No it is the RedHead 3D Evolution Suit from Bass Pro. I have had it for 3 years now & wear it every time out. It sounds a little noisy at first, but if you get one & wash it several times that helps.

Here is the link to full pics of me in my stand.

Split fingers with middle finger at the corner of my mouth. I was taught that way and it just feels comfortable to me. The only thing I have changed is I tried my index finger as my anchor but I had a harder time until I switched to the middle finger.

                  Hey Double Drop,
since you're asking, it sounds to me like you are not happy with the consistentcy of your shots. If you find a string grip that feels comfortable but you are still not shooting good groups, it could be the quality of your release. Just a thought. What really helped me was anchoring my thumb under my chin and makking sure my finger touched my lip before I released. I then try to loose the string without letting my hand move; just the fingers. This helps keep me from "plucking" the string, whih was my biggest problem with consistentcy a few years ago.
                  Hope that helps.

Split for me. I cant get arrows to shoot where I look with 3 under. I ve tried it many times but it just dont work as well for me. Shooting stick bows is a personal thing. Go with what works for you.

If Cut the Loop comes on this thread, I promise it'll go on for two more pages, minimum.

Yes, there is a difference. I am happy to explain the history between the English Longbow grip and the Apache grip. I would invite you out to Texins Archery Club for some fun. We do have an Intro to Archery seminar each Saturday 10 to 11:30 for the novice, and personal instruction by appointment.

The bottom line on grip is what comfortably allows you the best view/alignment to aim and be consistent. Every face is different, therefore alignment and anchor are different. Our Form Wall Range is designed to allow people to experiment with their equipment.

Contact me if you would like to come out and visit as my guest.
