shooting off the shelf

Is it ok to shoot off the shelf on a flat shelf rather than a rounded one, or am I better off shooting from an arrow rest? Thanks

Flat shelf is fine. You could use a toothpick or match to raise it in line with the deepest part of the grip as well. That would give you the same effect as a rounded shelf.

ok, dumb question, run the toothpick perpendicular or parallel

Penpendicular under the rug just above thumb pad contact point.

Put it under the rug above the deepest portion of the grip (this would be the same place that you measure your brace height)
