    Arrow Tuning Question

Ok, here is a strange one for you arrow experts. I have bare shafted my arrows and they fly reasonably well into my target at 15yrds or less. The strange thing is when I fletch them they will hit where I shoot, but I see the tip raise up in the air. It looks like a kid popping a wheelie on a bike.

The feathers correct the flight, but I know something is out of whack, but I dont know what.

    Please advise...

    Thanks in advance!

When bareshafting you have to shoot fletched and bare. Make adjustments based on the impact of the two groups. When done correctly you will not have any issues with arrrow flight. Bowmaker.net. Then click on tuning. The best way that I. Have found.

Would suspect you're dealing with a variance due to fletching contact. Might need to slightly adjust knocking point.

Sounds like a clearance problem to me. Possibly the feather quill catching on your rest or something like that.

ditto on the nocking point. you might also try shooting cock feather in.

Raise the nocking point. My nocking point is 5/8" high off the shelf.

I believe most of it was actually bad form. I used the best form I could muster and all seemed well.

Course Buff was a bad influence on me, I now shoot 5.5" banana feathers. I had to make them mine though, he shot yellow for a long time so I went with pink. I can see those suckers a mile away.

Now if I can keep my man card I am all ready for this season. Tapered Surewood shafts with 5.5" pink banana feathers...
