    Ol' Man Strings

Ol' Man (Doug McCoy) makes good strings at a very fair price based on my experience. I've been using some of his stuff on a couple of different bows with good results. Anyway, just wanted to pass on some props for one of our own.

Does he do compound bow strings or just trad bow strings?

            Cuz,

I don't think that Doug does strings for compounds, but you might ask him.

            www.dougmccoy.us is his website.

Sure bet I'd really enjoy em if they'd ever get here. I met him at gander for payment then I couldn't make it out to his place to pick them up the next week. So I called Doug up and asked him to send em in the snail mail. I'm yet to receive them. Then I tried calling him a few times no answer. So I figured let me send him a text then I got the response
"others made it" not sure how thats supposed to help me. Come on Doug I keep hearing about how great your strings are I just want my three and I'll be out your "hair".

                    Chris,

I'm sorry - I told you I sent out several other orders at the same time and had not heard from them.. I got some confirmations back mid week (10 days almost to get there) I assumed that you had received yours as well. Sorry I will get some replacements done today and get them in the mail to you. When you called I was sleeping (2 hour difference and on my honeymoon in Vegas, so I wasn't able to solve the problem from there.

                      Chris,

They are done and in an envelope ready for tomorrows mail. Just an FYI... Chris - you called me once and it was while I was in Vegas and I was sleeping and responded within a few minutes to you via text message. I apologize but I am really at the mercy of USPS - if something gets lost I work hard to replace it at my cost. (My responsibility totally I agree). I had not heard back from you and once again I assumed (my fault for not checking on the situation.) all was well as the other shipments made it - late but they made it.
