    What broadheads do you use

Looking for a good broadhead to shoot from my sarrels longbow..Looking for something that flys as close to shooting a field point...

Also what broadheads have yall used that do the most damage and put off good blood trails?

    Thanks for any advice..

I just took a red stag 5 X 5 with the Muzzy Phantom 125 grain. My arrows were made with weighted inserts by Biob Sarrels. They did the job! There are some that Bisch uses that I would like to try so maybe I can be as successful as he is

Magnus (150 gr.) and Sasquatch heads are both quite large and will leave a big hole.
I have used quite a few different heads over the years, 2 blade, 3 blade and 4 blade. All can be very effective as long as they are very, very sharp and as long as you put them in the right place. Being "scary" sharp is by far more important than what brand of broadhead you choose. I would say that "cut on contact" heads are preferred by most traditional shooters. You get much better penetration with them than with the "chisel point" type heads. Just my .02

I started out shootng the Phantoms. They are great heads. I decided to get some more weight up front, so I changed to the Magnus 1 heads. I also wanted to get something that had a wider cutting diameter, so that factored into my change as well.

I have three bows. I use two different broadheads depending on which bow I plan to bowhunt with. My preferred broadheads are STOS and Magnus.

Does anybody use g5 montecs from a trad setup?? I have quite a few that I use with my compound, and hoping to not have to invest in yet another round of broadheads.

They will work just fine from your trad set up.
