    Hair Tab

I got the Widow 3 under hair tab and tried it out. This thing is loud on release, kinda makes a loud slapping noise. I was disappointed because I thought I would get a better and more consistent release. Didn't happen!
I guess for now I will stick with this old 35+ year old hoyt 3 finger glove I dug up out of my archives when I started this Trad thing again.
I did add some cat whiskers on the string and silenced the buzz and didn't seem to slow the arrow speed any because I'm still hitting same spot out to 20 yds.

Thanks. Those Batemans look a lot like this old Hoyt Glove I have here.

muzzlebrake I've known Earle & Flo Bateman since '73. They are great folks. They used to own Archery Sports in Pasadena, until they moved to FM-306 northwest of Canyon lake and started the archery accessories company.
        Earle is even famous

My problem finding a new glove is that my fingers are too fat. A size large won't go down on my fingers and an XL is too long. I went to Outdoor Pro Shop in Garland yesterday and tried on a few and found nothing that fit. That was the reason for getting a tab, so I didn't have to worry about finger fit.
Here's what my old glove looks like. I soaked it with Neats Foot to soften it up enough to get my fingers into so I can shoot it for now. I just didn't want to buy a bunch of stuff that don't fit.
BTW, I bought this one from Rudy Bellows back about 1969 or 70 when he had his shop inside of Bronco Bowling Lanes over in Dallas.

Call Earle and tell him exactly what you just said, email him your pics - he'll take care of you. He's like a custom boot maker

BTW - the best thing to do for your old glove, or any other old stiff leather is to wash (scrub) it in saddlesoap (it has lanolin in it). It will clean the dirt out of the leather will soften it up. Then if you want, put a new coating of Neet's Foot Oil on it.

              Thank you CaptJack,

I've been wondering how to clean my old sweat soaked gloves and arm guards but haven't gotten around to asking.
