I picked up a recurve Cari-bow Taiga that is 62" AMO and 49# @ 28". It is absolutely stunning...a piece of art. I pull it to 30.5" and check out the results on the chrono with 18 strand fast-flite AND beaver fur string silencers:
500 grain arrow went 196 fps
540 grain arrow went 187 fps
560 grain arrow went 186 fps
That's 43 ft lbs of kinetic energy! I am guessing it pulls 55# at my draw lenght...it is smooth and easy to pull and I was knocking the middle out of the bullseye at 30 yards. I'd never have guessed a very moderate weight bow could perform so well. I'm taking this one to my grave!
