bow string

Well fellas last night I was making sure my nock was on tight and ended up cutting that hard plastic cord that is wrapped around the string right at the nock.
Do you know what I am talking about and how long can I shoot it like this?
It has not affected the arrow nock yet but will I'm sure If I keep shooting. Can it be fixed or do I now need a new string

It can be re-served but, don't keep shooting with it. If the serving unravels it can catch on the arrow and you will get hurt. Your nocks should only be tight enough to support the weight of your bow and no more... A tight nock causes erratic arrow flight.

You can reserve the string easily. There should be tutorials which outline the method if you have never done this before. Or you can take it by any archery shop and they can serve it in about 5 minutes. If you need help contact me and I will walk you thru it.

Kirby, just take it to a shop and, if they are not busy, they can fix that in 15 minutes.
