    Short long bow

Here is the first one off the new shorter form for 58 and 56 inchers. This is 58 and shoots like a dream and is really quick, quiet, and silky smooth on the draw. Theres not any stacking or pinch. Riser is just your standard mexican bocote and stained red elm limbs with red elm cores. I need to put on overlays and horn tips and get it sanded and finished so I can hunt with it in 22 days. I am really impressed with the profiles both strung and unstrung. The bow will finish out at 57lbs and pack a heck of a punch. Let me know what I can improve and your thoughts.

Wow, shes a beauty. Ive experimented with more primitive 60 inch stickbows from Rudderbows and really like them. I wouldnt change a thing.

thats a really pretty bow. My longbow is a 60''. Put a little rubber or leather around the grip and felt the rest. Ready to rock. Good luck!

Does it shoot good with that short of fistmele?

It looks great though, plain, simple killing machine. I build my bows that way as well, plain and simple.

Jim Boswell the owner of Rudderbows comes and hunts with me every March. You should come out and fling some sticks with us and meet him. Its amazing what he makes and hunts with.

That looks great Shawn. I love the little short longs I build. The 56, 58 and 60" Blackhills are smooth and fast. Great little shooters. You should be more than happy with that one. Work looks great. Keep it up. Bob
