A friend of mine tied me up a feather out of his fly-tying kit on a piece of serving material. I forgot I had it until last night when I found it in my bow kit. How do I attach this to my recurve? I was looking at it last night and though about just tying it in to the top loop but first, I didn't know if the bow string would trash the feather after being shot a couple times and second, I am not the best knot tyer in the world...definately don't know how to serve strings. I also thought about tying it to the string just above the string silencer to keep it in place. Heck I even thought about sticking it to the top limb with a little piece of duct tape but thought that might look a little krappy! Anyway, how do yall attach the indicator to your bow?

Tying on feather wind indicator?

I've not had good luck with the feather on the string because the feather seems to have a short life getting jerked around like that. I just use some UNWAXED dental floss tied to the loops on top and bottom. When it gets shredded out some it acts just like a feather. Slightest wind will move it.
Unwaxed dental floss has been hard to find for me, so I also use some real old, dried out B50 string material that has lost its wax.
On a recurve, tie it so the string comes off the front of the limb loop so that it won't get fouled in your string silencers.
