This is my first post in the "Traditional" section.
This past week I decided it was time to give it a try. I have had my recurve for about 5 years and I decided it was time to kill something with it. I practiced every evening all week long and was shooting pretty well at about 15 yards.
Yesterday morning, I headed out to the stand. I put out some throw-down corn right in my kill range and settled in the stand in hopes that the pigs would cooperate. I had just about given up, at around 7:30 am, when a group of at least 30 pigs stampeded in. I picked out a medium sized pig at about 8 yards and let an arrow fly. I hit a couple inches higher than my spot and he dropped right there. No track needed. My first ever traditional kill was on the ground. I was excited to say the least. It was like I had gone back to when I shot my first deer years ago. Man, what a fun hunt and one I won't soon forget.

I want to thank Roland Jenkins for building such a beautiful bow and one that will kill to boot! He built me this bow years ago for my college graduation present. I'm glad I could finally break it in.
