        A5 Sweet 16’s were definitely made in Japan. Good friend bought one NIB in 1987

          The later Sweet 16s were made in Japan. It's common to find an A5 with a made in Japan barrel and a Belgium receiver. I swapped the barrel on my original Belgium 16 to a Japanese barrel to get the screw in chokes.
