    Reloader 15 with heavies

It's not listed in any of my old manuals. 5.56 with 73gr hornadys. My searches only turn up one load. 25gr. But I can't find anything else. No low to high range. anybody got anything?

I know it’s not that exact bullet but I shoot 77 grain match kings with 24.0 grains of RL-15.

Looks like that bullet and 25 grains of reloader 15 is going to be really compressed

My Hornady manual says 20.7 to 24.9 grains of RL 15. 11th edition, so fairly new.

Do you have any slower powders available?

                  Sorry, I meant faster

And do you have enough twist to stabilize that bullet?

Just to throw more data for you to examine.

Sierra has their 69gr tipped matchking at 24gr before reaching “max pressure loads”. 24 to 24.5 is in the “danger max pressure” area. With 24.5 being the max max.

Their 77gr tipped matchking is 22.6gr, with 22.7 to 23.1 being the max pressure range.

Just sharing so you have more data to compare where you should be. Somewhere between those is where I’d stick. Hornady manual that was posted seems to fall in like with what Sierra would theoretically have if they had a 73gr.

I'm a lifelong fan of Hornady bullets and the 173's are the heaviest that I can load for an AR magazine.
