    New 1911

Two Tisas 1911’s, one in 45 and other in 9mm. Both ran through first two hundred rounds without any problems. Look good and feel right to me. Next few hundred rounds we will see how it goes. So far, for the price, I am impressed.

Thanks for the update. I have been eyeing the one at Palmetto State for $329 for a while now, just haven’t pulled the trigger. Did you add the grips to the 45 in the photo?

Grips are aftermarket. Both came with two sets of grips, not bad and were comfortable. Just want to assure I know the 45 from the 9.

I wandered over there and looked. I did not see any $329 911 9mm..most of their guns were out of stock.

Same here. I been known to be a sucker for 1911 deals.
Anything with an extended beavertail grip safety and skeletonized hammer and trigger and adjustable rear sight will be closer to $500-600. Those $329 guns are just basic standard GI models with cheap grips. By the time you dress one up it will cost a few hundred more.

The Tisas 1911 DUTY B45 is not a bad deal @ $430 but still needs the rear sight replaced with adjustable one and by that time it is $500 + the cost of some nice Chip McCormick rose wood grips.
A Rock Island ROCK ULTRA FS 45ACP 8RD for $500 and you don't have to add or do anything except shoot it.
I'll keep looking at Tisas though and maybe someday they will have a ready made package on sale cheap enough.

The $329 Tisas 1911 on PSA’s website is a 45 and I’m not looking for anything nice. I think I’ll be content with something that goes bang every time and a new pair of $50 grips.

been there done that. No regrets except that with +P and super loads I will get some hammer pinch if'n I don't grip it right. A $10 beavertail grip safety will fix it if I ever get time. For now I just wear a right handed golf glove when shooting the GI model.

Personally don’t care for adjustable rear sights, just my preference.
