Not necessarily. If it’s shooting bursts, the trigger sear isn’t resetting right. I think the timing of changing the buffer is just a coincidence. I don’t see how that would make it go full auto. Trigger issues are the most likely explanation to light primer strikes as well.
well, I've since tested things again and all is good after cleaning(again) the bolt and gas rings and keeping original 3 oz buffer...runs good except for locking back consistently. That has improved some. Done nothing to trigger.
