I don't shoot bench rest and the only extreme temps I shoot are in S Texas, but my 06 has always put holes where the crosshairs are, and have for over 50 years.

I was surprised when I used this in my 6.5 Creedmoor and it shot very well. IMR powder was usually found at my Walmart back home.

What 06 do you have and what bullet do you use with the IMR 4831? I have 4#’s of the stuff and several different 165’s that I’ve considered using in my 06.

Don't overlook N160 if you can find it...pretty much the same burn rate.

Sporterized ww2 springfields. I shoot 165 hornady spirepoint interlocks exclusively. Once when I was a teen I put 12 of 13 in a one inch bull.

I have changed to SC from the original in 3 guns and all 3 still like the same charge weight but not the same volume so an if you use a powder thrower it will need to be adjusted accordingly.

SC just meters better. And is easier to deal with on compressed loads.
I've seen no SD or ES changes between the 2.

Same results on half a dozen rifles my brother and I load for.
