    Winchester Model 94 Value

Need some help putting a value on this gun for a friend. He had some unexpected medical bills and is selling off some guns to cover the cost. This is one he had no idea what it was worth.

Winchester model 94 carbine 30-30. Has original box and has never been fired to his knowledge. Pictures aren't great but I believe the serial number is 3973004. Based on what I can find it was manufactured in 1974. Gunbroker is all over the place so I'd figure someone on the GS might be able to shed some light on it.

    Thanks in advance!

My opinion 1,000$. Just because the original box, and overall condition.

Is it worth that ? Probably not, but it will probably sell for that in this current climate. That’s the least I would ask.

I agree $1000 if you put it on gunbroker probably get a bit more maybe $1200 before fees

The box is the cherry on the sundae for collecting.

Thank you to everyone who commented. I believe the consensus is about $1,000-$1,200 value.

I think the market has cooled down some. While it definitely would have sold for that 10-18 months ago, it might be a little tough to get that much for it now and it not being a pre-64.

I would guess in the ~$750 range.

It's crazy to me what these old lever guns are selling for. A few years ago when my grandfather passed I found a 94 in a soft case with the tags still hanging on it. Nobody in the family even knew he had it. Has a little rust pitting from sitting in a case for years but otherwise brand new. No idea what year it is. I've thought about taking it hunting but so far I've just let it sit in the safe after a good cleaning

900-1000 all day being a carbine and having the box makes a big difference

Yes sir. Box is worth more than the bullets…
