I need to stay off the internet.

Guess I'm gonna buy a new rifle this week. I'm gonna try out one of those .22TCM rifles from Rock Island Armory. Like I need another dadgum gun. I gotta quit lookin around on the internet.

On the plus side it'll be fairly cheap to shoot.

I figure I may as well get some dies and 200 rounds of factory ammo to start with. I have a scope at the house that don't get used that I'll slap on there.

Son of a guns need to quit poisoning prairie dogs around here so I can heat the barrel up a little this Spring.

I keep forcing myself to NOT look at their 1911 TCM.
I keep wanting one but know that I have absolutely no use for it other than "He who dies with the most toys wins."

I thought about getting one of their pistols instead but I think I'll get more use out of the rifle. It'll be a good prairie dog gun I think. Cheap enough to shoot and reload for that I could shoot quite a few and not feel like I'm burning up too much money.

Now days even .22 mag or .17hmr can get kind of expensive in a prairie dog town when the shootin gets heavy. Factory ammo probably won't blow them up too bad but I bet some 40 grain Nosler Ballistic Tips loaded in that .22TCM would destroy some pd's.

Yup, if you ain't burning a 1000 rounds in a weekend of P-dog shooting then you sittin on the wrong town. I went thru close to 2000 one shoot over 3 days on the Pronger Bros ranch up in the Texas panhandle just south of Stratford.

That's a lot of fun ain't it? My buddy and I used to shoot prairie dogs every day or every other day when he had a big prairie dog town by his house. We'd just drive through it over and over and shoot our .22's and .17's. I'm surprised there's a jackrabbit within 100 miles of that place to this day.

I've walked a lot of those dadgum dog towns lookin for rattlesnakes too. That'll keep a guy busy trying to check every prairie dog hole.

Well it looks like my plans have been postponed. Nobody on the internet has them in stock unless you're wanting to pay an outrageous price for one.

22TCM in a rifle? First I’ve heard of it. I was always kinda curious how the pistol ran. Never looked into it very much. Might put my radar….

don't overlook the .204 Ruger for a prairie dog gun,,, i used one a few years ago,,, devastating impacts are an understatement of what happens at around 4000 fps!

They're pretty popular apparently. I found a few in stock on GunBroker but I didn't wanna pay $800+ for one.

I shot a .204 for a few years. I just figured I'd grab a .22TCM because ammo is pretty affordable compared to a lot of it. But everyone else thought the same thing and bought all the guns.

At some point I'll probably get a .204 upper to put on a .223 AR that I've had for a while.
