I only shoot on my private ranges. Maybe that’s why mine works very well. I really like not jacking with skyscreens. And I don’t want something hanging off my barrel messing with the harmonics.

That’s a quirk with your unit. I have never used mine on a public range but I have never had a false reading, I have had fails,to read when not aligned properly and when shooting suppressed before I got the external mic.

I love the MS chrono, as I could count on one hand the number of times it didn't register a reading, after hundreds and hundreds of rounds fired through it. We all know the Sporter doesn't work with suppressors, as the bullet path winds up being too far from the magnets on the bayonet. ...

Yep my LR never misses shots with the external trigger. I did have to turn the sensitivity down to keep it from ghost reading when operating the bolt.

Ive adjusted the trigger to be less sensitive, but I’ll try a lower setting next time. I’m currently using the JKL trigger and moving the action or loading a round causes the false reading. I’ve also ran the magneto in conjunction with the LR and they’re pretty close.

What external trigger brand are you using?

                The original PIET trigger.

                    Magneto Speed Issue

I use this and it picks up suppressed shots without fail.

No clue how it will act on a public range.
