    22 Mag Ammo Question

I just put together my CZ 22 mag and I plan on using it for turkeys and Africa, the Tiny 10. What ammo do y’all use for your mag? I’ve always been a 22LR guy and never cared to pay for the high dollar stuff.

I have been curious how the speer gold dots perform out of a rifle, they are made for handguns but should give good expansion.

I've shot several types over the years but my favorites are Winchester 40 grain JHP's or Winchester 45 grain Dynapoint Magnum.

Cci 40 gr game point has done real good for me. I had a couple I recovered from a small pig let me see if I can find them

Buy several and see which patterns best. Mine hates the Dynapoints but likes the Hornaday VMAX.

Yup, with rimfire I shoot what the gun likes.

I just had a buddy tell me about those. I'm going to grab a few boxes to see if they work out of my 22 mag.

Just bought a few boxes to see how they do. The pigs are hitting my pastures pretty good and it sounds like it could be time to do some product testing.

Dynapoints are trash. CCI or Winchester 40 grains are what I prefer.

Recovered both of these from coyotes. The one on the right is a 45 grain Dynapoint. The other is a CCI 30 grain TNT solid copper hollowpoint. Hit the coyote with the bullet on the right at 70 yards right through the ear hole and found the bullet mid way in its neck just under the flesh. The other coyote I shot in the forehead at 63 yards and found it at the base of its neck. It hit and flipped downwards. Did a lot of damage from spinning but didn't expand as much.

I have always liked the CCI Maxi Mag, but in the last couple of years rely more on the Hornady 30gr V-Max. It groups a bit tighter (for me) and shoots flatter than the 40gr with no noticeable drop in destruction compared to the 40gr.
