    Meopta scopes

Needing a lighter weight scope but with a enough power and light for an All around hunting gun. But good enough I can take on an elk trip. I’m a diehard bushnell Burris guy. So wanting quality midrange scope. This brand has popped up on my radar. Looking at the 5-6 line. Any opinions?

I have owned a few of the Optika 6 models, they are heavy but are built well. I have a Optika 5 on a 22 Hornet that is really nice for the money. Cameraland has a SHOT Show sale going on right now on Meopta, I bought another Optika 5 for a 17 Hornet.

I think I have an Optika as well and really like it.

I have two meopta scopes and a pair of meopts 10 power binoculars. The are as good as any piece of glass you can buy in their price range. their clarity will compete with many more expensive models.

          I have an Optika 6 3-18x50 mounted on a Bergara 7mm mag.

I've been very pleased with the scope, it was a much needed step up from my previous Leupold 3x9.

They are not super light weight, but the optics quality is very good for the price.

great scopes, not light weight. Premium glass is heavy across all brands.

What's your budget? I have Leupold VX5-HD's, but when my budget is 5-$600.00 I go with the best Burris I can get for the $. My Burris Signature HD, 3-15 x 44 is fantastic.

                FYI
Meopta used to make some of the scopes for Ziess and Cabelas had a good line of scopes too that were made by Meopta. My older Ziess Conquest looks just like the Meoptas of that time.

I really like Swarovski for lightweight hunting rigs.
