    Annealing??

I started reloading early last year. I have enough calibers and not enough time that I’m just now wrapping up load development for the last one….25-06. I started out with some factory ammo I had, fire formed it, and started developing the load. It didn’t take long at all to get the Remington 700 Long Range to stack bullets with great SDs. My personal opinion is that 25-06 should probably be annealed for sure by the 4th loading. I know some folks anneal after every firing but this is a hunting rig and not a competition rig. The 3rd loadings of the brass is still stacking em in there. But I don’t think I feel comfortable attempting a 4th loading without annealing. Thoughts?

I anneal with a solder torch and a cordless drill & socket.
    After every firing.

I used an electric stove with the spiraled heat band for years. It was very fast and easy. I would put the cases, bullet end down on the heating band, starting at the center. By the time I got to the outer ring, it was time to start taking the inner ones off.

I think annealing is way overrated.
