Scope mount options for a Winchester model 94?

Looking for ideas on scope mounts for a 94. Do the Scout scope setups work good? Are there any good bolt on rail setups? What are my options?

Probably the same options as yesterday.

You can do a side mounted scope but the problem then comes in when you eject the shell. It is a top eject and the brass hits the scope turret. You can mount the scope sideways where your elevation becomes Windage and windage elevation. Don’t know about the scout scope.

I’m pretty sure you can go to prison for putting a scope on a model 94.

Would help to know which version you have, either pre angle eject or angle eject.

I know years ago, Weaver and B-Square used to make mounts that bolted to the side of the receiver, of a 94. I have not seen any of those in years. Don't know if B-Square is still in business.

I looked up mounts. I was thinking if I were to ever put any type of optics on a lever gun, it would be some kind of red dot, and I would want to mount it where the rear sight would normally be. It turns out that some company makes such a mount for red dot sights, it seems to be Turnbull Restorations. Those seem to only be for mounting a small halographic sight like what would be mounted on a pistol. Then Dr. Pearson makes a short rail, that also seems to attach to the dove tail that the rear sight would normally be in, then attaches with one bolt on the side of the receiver. The rail sits where the rear sight would normally be.

            After you get pistol whipped.

There are no viable scope mounting options for a Winchester 94……… that won’t get you ridiculed anyways

It's impossible. Go buy a Marlin or some thing.

Angle eject, it's super easy. If it's not angle eject, instead of putting a scope on it you might think about putting a red dot on it. You can get a mount for a red dot that goes into the rear sight dovetail, so you don't have to make any permanent alterations to the gun. Also keeps the guns light and handy feel, but it's easier to make hits with. Does look a little ugly, but since it's not permanent it's not a big deal. I wasn't sure about them till I shot one, and if I was going to put a scope on a 94 I would do the Red Dot in the rear side dovetail thing. Good luck

I like this idea. My biggest issue is my eye sight and getting older. Im guessing they make a red dot that's powered to like 4x or so? Any experience on these?

No, not that I really know of. The red dots I've seen used are just the little ones kind of like go on pistol that have no magnification. Something like a Burris fastfire
