Not sure I’ve seen Single Six’s that high used.

What specific model S&W? That price does seem to be in ballpark though.

500-650 is a better window on the ruger...box & extra 22cyl / stainless are on the upper end.

What model is the S&W...48 / 648? It will say on the frame when you open the cylinder. 48-2 48-4 648 648-2etc.

$650 is way too high. $4-500 with one cylinder in good condition.

Used Cylinders can be bought occasionally for $100 +/-. Then you have to hope they line up right. Out of 3 or 4 I've messed with only 1 didnt work.

You can also send it of to Ruger to have a cylinder fitted. I've no idea what that costs.

Probably wouldn't increase what you can get for it, without the cylinder, to make it worth the hassle.

Some Rugers have a cult following and those pistols bring premium dollars. Part of the reason is the rarity because ruger made limited runs on certain guns and in certain calibers and then never brought them back. This one is an example.
Try to find one of these in .41 Rem magnum. Ruger Bisley Stainless Hunter. I see a .44mag from time to time but the .41mag is hard to find.
Any of the Rugers that are still cataloged and still being produced are a lot less expensive. Don't mean they aren't just as good.

I’d give her $1,000 each, and fib a bit and tell her they’re sought-after collectibles. If your recently deceased friend’s wife needs money, it’s the right thing to do.

Then sell at market value if you don’t want his guns as a memory.

That’s what I think. God bless her.
