    American Arms Inc

    Picked up a fun revolver.
Hoping the green screen can help.
Im looking for any information on the Cat. 1488, SA 44 mag.
    History, parts, etc.
Specifically looking for a replacement cylinder in 44-40 and potentially a firing pin.
    Thank you for your insight.

Why 44-40? They can be a pain to reload. Just load 44special rounds in the mag cases they will last a long time. Brass easier to come by to? That's just been my experience. Ive got to think their may not be a whole lot of parts out there.

According to my googler, they were made by Uberti but it didn’t list .44 mag. Listed 44/40, .357 mag, and .45 Colt. Uberti makes lots of single actions, and I imagine you can find parts.

Be interesting to know what all parts are the same. I know a cylinder still might be tricky.

It might have to be timed and it might just drop in, never know until you try.
