Model 70 .270

I just bought a model 70 from my FIL. It has a synthetic stock without a external magazine / hinge. It still has a built in magazine but to unload it. I will have to cycle the bolt till it's empty. I have looked around on the web and can't seem to find another model 70 that has this stock. Does anyone know anything about this model? Even tried running the serial number.

Just Googled the serial number. Best I can tell it was made in 70. But I'm not even 100% on that. I'll try and upload some pictures

Yeah that won't tell you anything, what's the S/N? 1970 would be G957995 to G1018991.
