    300blk kills

Post your 300blk kills and list distance, projectile or round used and how it performed.

Lots of folks asking about it on here. My experience has only been a few kills my nephew just shot a 90 pound doe at 75 yards using a 150gr gold dot quarter away shot broke 2 ribs in and 3 out plus the leg bullet did exit and deer ran 30 yards. It was a very hard hit with lots of tissue damage.

Can everyone ad if it was supersonic or sub sonic. I'm really curious on this one. Good thread.

I have finished a hundred animals with a .300 using sub sonic handloads back when I hand my bow hunting ranch. I handloaded 110 grain bullets full speed and my grandson killed a handful of deer out to 100 yard’sClick image for larger version

The pics above the deer was a supersonic 150gr gold dot hand load shot at 75 yards.

The pig was a subsonic 265 gr hard cast shot at 90 yards. Neither animal went more than 30 yards. Both had exits too.

This is the entrance side of the 150gr gold dot. Exit wound was significantly bigger.

No pics-- used 8.5" PSA 300blk w/ Octane 45 can

Culled numerous does on MLD with Hornady 190gr Sub-x and with the Maker 190gr SBR Expanding-- both worked wonderfully 1 shot kills.

Buddy now used the 190 Subx exclusively shooting pigs at his place.

No pics handy but we have killed a lot of management deer filling MLD tags subsonic suppressed, punch a hole in the lungs and they mostly will stay at the feed until they fall over

They stand around like they weren't hit? What round do you use?

Only supers. All Barnes tac-tx round. Probably 100 pigs. All head shots, DRT. Maybe 20 deer, all heart/lung shots. 30 yard average recovery. 9 inch barrel, suppressed. It’s all my wife and kids hunt with

I have had great luck with tons of pigs and a handful of deer. Don't really want to shoot any farther than about 100 yds. I shoot Hornady Custom 135 grain FTX (super).

Barnes TacTX 120g supers out if a 16” unsuppressed.
Doe at 70 yds, small buck at 90ish yards, both just buckled. Quartering away shots in the lungs, both just crumpled.

400ish lb hog took one behind the shoulder and ran off. Same pic got it by a 30-06 the next weekend and ran off. We need to start ear-hole-big them.
