I have a Dead Air Nomad 30 on my 6.5 creedmoor and I could not be more pleased. Much quieter than what I expected based off of several other suppressors I’ve shot. At 100 yards you can hear contact on target paper. Everyone I’ve ever shot around has made comments about how much quieter it is than other suppressors.

Designed to provide enough suppression to be used hunting while maintaining the smallest and lightest package. Low back pressure. User serviceable. Mono core design.
Their words. This is them saying “it’s not real quiet but it’s got low back pressure”.
10-4 maybe I misunderstood what he’s been saying/claiming. Would sure be fun to get out and have a day shooting with ya anyway!
Sorry OP, didn’t mean to hijack your thread. I was just sharing what I thought I understood about a suppressor We shoot on our place and stinkin love.

This is great info for folks to read.
Cans are like women. There’s all shapes and sizes. And all perform different things according to your liking. Except quietness. Idk that women know how to do that(don’t ban me Mary!)
Cans that are for super big DB drops. Usually big volume long cans. Short ones designed to just take the edge off. Lightweight hunting type. Ones built like a tank to handle heavy sustained fire while staying as quiet as possible. You get the picture. Lots of different options. And LOTS of biased and brand loyal folks. It can be very confusing and I don’t keep up with the stuff like I used to. I stick with the majors, mainly Dead Air.

Seems like y’all are much more educated than me, I was relaying what I saw and was told about the back pressures and AR’s. Like said, specifically at the shooters ear, on an AR platform..
I’m gonna get one to Jay and see what his research shows! I’ll report back

If you can put together a time to try them out when he’s in Midland, I’m not far away and would definitely try to make it out there if I’m not too busy.
I’m far from an expert when it comes to suppressors, but have shot a few of the short ~5” cans made by some of main suppressor companies, and they all leave a lot to be desired in the sound category. Like Matt said, there’s been tons of money poured into R&D to make the smallest, quietest suppressor around, but with suppressors it’s always a give and take. If y’all have a 5” can that is somewhat comparable to something like a Nomad, your buddy is going to have as much business as he can handle. Heck, I’d love to have something short and compact like that if it’s not sacrificing too much sound reduction.

I'm in Midland a lot and could compare against some of the super DB knockers (the wide body girls if you will). I've got a Hyperion and should have a Magnus by then. Would love to shoot depending on schedules. I'm also in the market for a dedicated 5.56 can and would love to support somebody in O&G. Lemme know!

So, I guess the only logical thing to do would be go ahead and get them both . Gonna put the Harvester on hers and the Ti on my McWhorter 7sprc.
