Think I got a new huntin partner.

My sister just turned 14 in September and she got a Savage 93-BSEV .22 mag for her birthday. She wanted to see if it was dialed in good so I sat a golfball up at 100 yards. She hit it the first shot. When she shot some pigeons flew out of the barn and she said "I've never shot a pigeon before." About 20 minutes later I'm loading up a magazine for her and one of them pigeons lands about 20 yards past the target. I thought "That's not gonna be a good place to land." She didn't waste no time getting that thing in the scope and it wasn't Iong and feathers were blowing in the wind. 120 yard shot on a pigeon was pretty dang good I thought.

She's wanting to go kill some coyotes with her rifle so we'll see. I may have her shoot my .223 and see how she does.

On a side note, Hornady 30 grain V-Max out of a .22 magnum will destroy a pigeon. It came out of its chest and turned that thing inside out.

Oh yeah I'm thinking there's gonna be a rimfire shortage just because of her. Flying out of that barn was the worst choice those pigeons could have made. Won't be any left here in about a week.

My little sister is 10 years younger than me and my only sibling out of 4 that hunts.

She shot her first buck at 14. Free handed 200 yards away. Chicks are mean so they make excellent killers

Oh man she impressed me for sure. She was using a stack of pallets to rest her gun on from a standing position. I was trying to show her how to stand so it makes things a lot easier when she's trying to aim. She said "I know how to do it." So I shut up thinking I was gonna teach her something if she was missing. After I seen that golfball go flying I didn't say nothing else. I guess she knows what she's doing.LOL

She's a shooter. If you have a gun with you she'll ask if she can shoot it. Don't matter to her what it is.

I think she was looking for an excuse to brag. She said "You ever killed a pigeon before?" I think she forgets I had a 20 year head start on her in life. I said "I've killed more pigeons than you've seen in your life."
