Remington doesn't have a current reputation to put out an $1800 gun.

I have owned 3 remington 700s and 1 model 7. All of them are absolute shooters, I guess I'm the luckiest man in the world because 3 of the 4 were made in this century.

They all have/had 5lb triggers which I've replaced with timney's along the way but even prior to the trigger jobs they grouped well.

I hate that so many people have had issues with them, I love a remmy 700!

Best Remington ever made. And this was the price 14 yrs ago. I haven't found a Tika, or Begarra that will even come close. I have seen 1 savage, and of course all Sako are superior in my book.

Can’t help but wonder if someone talked some sense into them and was like hey you might wanna rethink that price point considering what has gone on here recently. . . LOL

But I heard the same price point from a couple different places.

I’m pretty sure Tikka offers a 1-8 Twist 22-250 or did at one time anyway.
