    Ruger SFAR

Interesting offering they've just released. Claiming it's about the size/weight of a regular AR15 at 6.8lbs, but chambered in .308. From TFB website:

"Ruger is attempting to fill the void left by the discontinuation of their SR-762 rifle with the introduction of their new SFAR or Small-Frame Autoloading Rifle. This new .308 AR-pattern rifle is a heavy-hitting option that manages to fit into similar dimensions as conventional AR-556 rifles as well as bringing the total weight of the entire package down to just 6.8 lbs for the 16″ version."

Somebody go buy one and let us know how it is!

Dang! I just bought a Ruger AR with a bunch of gift cards I needed to spend. I would've gone with that one over another .223

Bummer! Seems like it would be a fun one to have in the safe.

Ha! No joke. I bet there will be a handful that show up before Christmas, but I'm sure they'll be scarce.

Wish they made that in 6.5 creedmoore, and I'm sure that they eventually will.

I've never bought an AR10 because of the weight. First deal on one of these I find will be hard to pass up.

You want some weight on a .308 platform. Getting back on target with too light of a rifle in that caliber can be difficult. Will be interesting to see if they get the balance correct. I have the newer Gen PSA-10 and it has a decent weight to it. Of course adding any NV optics will increase the weight back up there.

I have a 30-06 automatic carbine, forget about it. That optic is in the sky after each round fired.

Probably gonna be a while, I understand there are shortages of pink paint, and glitter.

Really like the idea. Will have to see how reliable it is. I hunt with a 7.62 x 39 - to have more power in the same package would be a definite plus.
