I have tried to search it on here, but I am coming up with nothing. Sometime in the last couple of years someone posted about a gun rest for a box blind that hooks on an open window. I wanted something like this for my daughter to have a more steady rest. Any help would be appreciated.

We set up a bog death grip in the stand for my daughter and it works good. Holds the rifle with the barrel already out the window.Comment

Save some money. All of my blinds have old black tube socks, 1/2 to 1/3 filled with the kids air soft beads, slack tied off to get the density/pliability to suit your preference, and cut off remainder of the sock.
Cheap, easy, and customized to your needs. Beans or rice work fairly well and cheaper, but they are subject to humidity and rodent access.Comment

Shooting Rest
I make an aluminum rest that sits on the window ledge. It is adjustable for elevation. Then you put a sandbag or two on it. Its like shooting off a bench. I will take a picture of it sitting in the window of my blind this evening.Comment

I do the same thing for my boys. Gun is always at the ready pointing in the direction of the feeder, and my son enjoys it because it helps absorb some of the recoil.Originally posted by droebuck View PostComment

I put a 1x8 shelf beneath my windows except the door side.
Allows me to use like a bench rest along with the sandbags. I take theirs slings off when we get to the stand.
Otherwise a bog pod for the butt of the rifle and store bought “v” shaped bag in the front.
