Yep, that's nice. That whole set up, is very close to what I am shooting for, as a finished gun. I am going to use a Anderson upper and Enhanced hand guard, flip up sights, but a Sig Romeo 5 red dot. Then planning on trying out CMCs AR9 trigger. Then JP Enterprises AR9 buffer kit. I will use the standard length travel buffer kit for the 10mm, since JP does not make a 10mm/40 cal, short travel bolt. But the AR9 will get the short travel bolt and buffer kit.

What are you running for ammo, and have your chronographed any, out of that gun? I am curious what hot 10mm loads, will do, out of a carbine length barrel.

I got a barrel already, just like I suspected, it does not have a feed ramp cut into the chamber, so I can load up hotter rounds for it.

I am thinking it should make for a fun pig gun, inside 100 yards.

Check out LWRC or PWS for piston guns. Both are superb.

      Sierracharlie out....
At some point, when I have time, I am going to start reading up on piston guns. I understand how they work, the basic differences between a gas gun, blow back gun and a piston gun. But I don't know much about what is made in the form of AR style piston gun parts. I am sure that will open up a whole new world of parts, to research. When I get to that point, I will look into those two companies. I am still trying to learn what is out there for the pistol caliber guns, I have only been looking at the blow back style actions, have not even gotten into the rotating bolt pistol caliber stuff yet.

That looks like lot of fun, more so, if that is a real pew pew muffler on the end of the exhaust pipe.

Why our crazy government insists our cars have to have mufflers, but it's a bad thing for our guns to have mufflers. What the hell? That and the barrel length laws prove they are F'ing idiots.

That does look like a blast to shoot. What Caliber?

It’s a 9mm. 2 stamps in the picture - SBR and the Can.

Bit of a PSA, I would be careful buying mags from Buymymags.com. I bought one 17 round factory 9mm Glock mag, two 34 round aftermarket 9mm Glock mags. Then one factory 15 round 10mm Glock mag and two 30 round factory 10mm Glock mags. Both them close to four weeks ago, I received the two aftermarket 34 round 9mm mags within a week of ordering them. Then nothing, no emails, nada. I tried to send them a message or call them and ask them about the other mags, found out they have their email set up where you can not reply or send them an email. Then I tried to send them a message on their site, but I had to have an account with them, which I never had, but once I entered my email to create an account, it said, there was already an account using that email address. Took me most of the evening trying repeatedly to reset the pass word for the account. Because every time I tried to do the reset pass word, and it sent a email to my email address. Then I opened it, and clicked the link, when the link would open, it would open up their page again, saying that I had clicked on a bad link an would not let me rest the pass word. Even though it took me to the pass word reset page. I played that stupid game for quite a while. After I finally gave up, it sent another message to my email, right before I went to bed that night, I clicked the link in that email, and it opened up their page for pass word reset, but no error message that last time. So I finally got the pass word reset. Then sent them a message about I needed my other mags or my money back. A few days later, on a Saturday, I got an email saying they were processing my order, no other info. No other emails, no mags. That was over a week ago.

After two weeks of no messages after I received those two mags, then I could not find any way of contacting them. I started looking at reviews on them and found many people have had problems with them.

I went down their list of mags, found many listed as out of stock. I specifically ordered only mags, that were listed as in stock. I got two of those six mags, have not gotten any info on what the story is with the other four, other than they are processing my order. I think that means they are spending my money, don't call us, we will call you.

That thing looks like a lot of fun, with the can, it should be even more fun.

I kind of gave up on 22 LRs a few years ago, decided I would build me a fun 9mm to shoot, instead of paying todays prices for 22 LR ammo. I bought me some 9mm dies, going to buy some 9mm molds and cast bullets. I have already got my bullet casting and powder coating stuff set up and ready to go. Got a lot of lead. I plan on buying a couple of molds for the 10mm also, and casting 10mms too. I have a ton of 10mm brass, since I have been shooting 10mms since the early 90s. Also got a lot of good 10mm hollow point bullets. I am set up and ready to go for 10mm, have been for years. The 9mm, I need to buy brass, some bullets, and bullet molds, then I will good to go on the 9mms also. I plan to shoot both jacketed and cast bullets out of both guns.

I figure I should be able to cast a bunch of 9mm bullets and load them for less money than 22 LR ammo costs now days. I think the 9mm AR, is going to be my new 22 LR.

This one is a DI gas upper. It’s been several years since I put it together so it might take me a minute to remember all parts used.

I do know it’s a standard M16 carrier and I think a 6.8 SPC bolt. It’s all nickel boron coated. I have to run a 9mm heavy buffer in it, the spring is proprietary to the shortened buffer tube.

I want to say it runs 180XTPs at about 1450 or so in an 8” barrel. Or maybe it’s 200 grain XTPs. Either way it will thump a pig pretty good and with the silencer attached it’s a lot of fun to shoot.

That's interesting, you actually have a gas gun. I almost looked at gas guns, but decided, those pieces were probably going to be more expensive and decided not to even look at that stuff. But if it uses a common bolt and carrier, all of the pieces should be the same cost as a common AR build, obviously the bolt and carrier will be.

Those numbers are pretty good for only an 8" barrel.

If I would have known what parts were used for a rotational bolt gun, I probably would have gone that way, at least on the 10mm.

I have a regular sized AR with the Adams piston upper. Love that gun. No need to run wet, can get muddy and still go, its been great!
