Springfield XDs. Mod 2

I wanted an extended magazine for my XDs .45 MOD 2 but they don't make it. All they have are 5 and 6 round Mags.

So I called Springfield and the guy over the phone said you can modify the Mod 1 magazine and make it fit the Mod 2.

Here are I with the newly purchased Magazine for a MOD 1, but can't find anywhere online how to modify the sleeve to make it fit my MOD-2 Pistol... Somewhere it says if you take off the sleeve, it will fit, but without a sleeve you're risking the Mag go up too far and break the ejector....


Has anyone ran into this issue and know how to modify the Mod 1 magazine to fit the Mod 2 XDs .45?

Yes, it's possible, get a few files and go to work. Just gotta be careful not to overdo it, that's why I didn't use a Dremel Tool.

I should've made a YouTube Video of it. I'm sure it would have benefited a bunch of people looking for an extended Magazine for XDs .45 Mod 2
