What are some good options for AR Pistol buffer tube pad/cover/stock

I'm finally getting around to making some upgrades to my stock Spike's Tactical AR pistol. I need to do something with the bare buffer tube. Not really excited about a $7 piece of foam to slide on.

What are some other options that will keep it legal as a pistol (besides a brace)? Some type of cheek piece or pad? Any other types of sleeves or attachments that won't interfere with the charging handle?

As doppelgänger says braces are legal and those thordsen cheek rests are ugly. Nobody wants to see your ugly mug...let alone you carrying an ugly braceless stockless AR around [emoji12]

I feel like anything you put on there like a cheek piece is going to be just as dubious as a arm brace, which is actually for your arm...I would just sbr it tho

I didn't care for the thordsen. The SBA3s are alright for what they are. I'd say just SBR though. Keep one as a pistol and SBR the rest.
