Let's assume 12ga for the sake of discussion.

If 120 cases and a box of 12 ga weighs 2 lbs 8 oz, you are looking at 6,000 lbs. Rough estimate and will vary based on specifics.

Is there 120 cases on a pallet?

Thats what Google said. Could be more could be less but 120 is considered a full pallet.

I had no idea. I burn a box or two a year of 20 or 28 gauge!

1500 lbs per pallet on average for 12 gauge.

Know a guy that was hunting in Arkansas several years ago and went by Mack's and the biggest impression he got from that was the number of pallets of shells being loaded on flatbed trucks via fork lift.

Going to guess a pallet weighs around 1500#

Someone look my math over. Its bugging me...
                      1 pallet = 120 cases (per google)
                      120 cases at 20 boxes in a case = 2,400 boxes
                      2400 boxes at 25 shells each = 60,000 shells
                      60,000 target load shells at 1 and 1/8s oz = 67,500 o,
67,500 oz converted to lbs by dividing by 16 = 4,218 lbs and 12 oz. And thats just the lead. Plus the boxes, cardboard, pallet, plastic shell, powder. I think we can get to 6k.

Not saying I am right just showing my math. BTW this is the 2nd way of doing it. The first time I googled what a box weighed and multiplied by 2400 boxes.

You sure it’s 20 boxes per flat? I thought it was 10. So that would cut your math in half

10 boxes to a flat. Used to be 20 boxes to a case.
