ATF making a move on Form 1 cans?

80%+ of people started getting denials on form 1 cans today and now some of the form 1 manufactures are haulting sales… No one seems to know what’s going on?

Seems like most people are receiving “Already a suppressor” responses or something along those lines on rejected forms. Seems sketchy to say the least and was curious if anyone hear got denied today also?

it was a response to an attorney after one of the 'solvent trap' manufacturers was raided by ATF. Seems the ATF is defining any parts that will be used to make a suppressor as requiring to be registered and transferred before being used for such if it is a part that can easily be used to make a suppressor. So from a realistic standpoint (taking out the undrilled cones/cups/traps that people sell) any pipe that you might thread and or bar stock you may want to turn on a lathe into baffle, or the material you buy to 3d print baffles, must be registered before you can use it to build a suppressor. Its ridiculous. Even though they already approved you and taxed you to make it by their rules, now its illegal. I have already emailed all of my congressmen. Hopefully others will be doing the same

I plan on doing the same. More overstep by the alphabet boys.

BATF-uck is out of control and will remain that way until Biden is out of office.

yeah if you look at the language in the denials on Form 1 cans its mentions any part that is or can be "re-designed" to be used as a suppressor. Super open ended and sounds a lot like gov overstepping, again.....

I know Quietbore makes you get a stamp before they will ship the Form 1 can. I receive emails from them and they are working on what is going on. I will post back if any more news comes out.

I can say that I have a pending form 1 (suppressor) submitted on 1/13/22. I have not received a denial yet. But have been following those that have. There seems to be no rhyme or reason for the denials and some folks actually claimed to received some approvals yesterday too. Crazy deal all the way around.

Based on what’s going on today your F1 will be denied. They are saying they are already suppressors or readily made into suppressors and appear to require a Form 4.

Supposedly more info to come out later today.

One guys on a facebook page says he has a high school buddy that is with the ATF portion that messes with the forms and a couple people made "small error" on the forms that carried over across almost all Form 1's causing the rejection and things should hopefully be resolved in the near future...

Do y'all think that this will slide over into the Form 1 SBR world or does it seem to only be on cans. Reason being is I have 3 form 1s in for SBR and am really hoping that I dont have to go through the whole process again.

Cans are the only thing that is being denied. There are a ton of people that have been getting back approved SBRs

Beansprout, thank you for the update. I haven't really had an outlet/community to follow what is going on with all of this outside of here. I appreciate the update.
