    Organizational Question, gun stuff

I am trying to organize a little better. My old age and random ammo boxes and coffee cans full of stuff is making me crazy

    1. So I have many different pistols/rifles and they all have several to many mags for each. What do you suggest to keep them easy to identify and store. Lets just say 15-20 guns with each gun having 5-20 mags for each different gun.

    2. I have drawers full of random gun parts. What is the best way to sort all this stuff out.

Pics would be a great help

They make a 10gun case.. or anything you want.
For random small parts,.. Lowes sells a very nice Craftsman XL parts case.. its gasketed.. about $29.. i have 12 of them.. they can be latched to each other.. stackable..
For more money, its hard to beat the Milwaukee Packout boxes.. i have several of them as well.. but for work.

I use magpul Daka pouches for my pistol magazine storage. I can take some pics when I get home but a medium pouch holds 10 17rd glock mags. A small holds 5 21rd P320 mags, and a large will hold 4 30rd ar mags flat. They make them with a clear portion so it’s easy to see what’s in them but I write on them with a white paint pen what they are.

They make a ton of sizes and colors and are about to release the “lite” version. Waterproof and fairly inexpensive

I see "Organizational" and my OCD made me click on this. I have been working pretty hard to organize my overall shop but my gun bench has taken priority. So for parts I am a big fan of the double sided tool boxes one might use for screws. They sell a pretty cheap version of these at Home Depot

When it comes to mag storage the DAKA pouches is a good idea (haven't thought of that one). Ammo cans are kind of my go to and you can even go the cheaper route of plastic ammo cans from harbor freight. I am trying out some pouches from LBX tactical as well. Their medium pouch will hold 5 AR Mags (dont know how many pistol) and they have a window that you can label them.

I am also using Sidio crates for loose gear and some ammo. They are stout as can be and have dividers that help keeping the gear in them separated. You could store ammo in these although they are not sealed from the elements like the ammo cans.

One thing I have found is organization requires a little bit of money but it makes my life so much easier. Hope this helps!

Sell some stuff, that way your wife won’t sell it too cheap after you kick out.

This has crossed my mind too, I need to give it more thought.

I use the cheap ammo boxes from Harbor Freight. I stick a small piece of blue painter's tape on the bottom of the mag with the gun name on it in case something gets mixed up. Cheap and peels off clean.
